Sandy, my most heartfelt condolences to you. We knew he was going to go quick just to not realize how quick. He was so ready to go to be as he called it home that there was no fear in him at all. Have some great talks on the bus to and from Wayne Drive. The best to you and again I am sorry but then again I am glad.

Dick Wild, Friend, Brother, and fellow Christian Soldier; I am saddened to hear of this loss to his family and friends; however, I am blessed by knowing that he is now with our Father in heaven. No more pain, no more suffering, no more tears; only joy! Dick and I hunted together in the 60's, and God brought us together again a few years ago. Dick and I led somewhat parallel lives only going opposite directions, me in law enforcement, him into illegal activities. It is a testimony to God Almighty that we (at both ends of the spectrum) were both drawn to Jesus; and both of our lives began to parallel in the same direction; only to become as bothers in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit of Christ made us one together in our belief of Jesus; I was humbled next to this great man of God; my friend, my brother, I know he is now at peace in Christs rest. All of us that call Jesus Lord will see Dick on the other side. Sandy, please let me know if there is anything I can do for you or your family. Love in Christ, Dr. Ben Sheppard

I will remember Dick as a man, who above all, loved Jesus and his family. I think fly fishing came next. One of the best memories that I have of Dick is when he and my sister Sandy would visit my husband Herb and I at our home in Seattle. We had a great back yard with a deck.. Dick would get up early, grab a cup of coffee and go sit on the deck in and read his Bible. He seemed so much as peace. I talked to Dick about a week before he left us. He told me that he was focused on Jesus and where he (Dick) was going. He said that he was totally at peace and he truly sounded like he was. Though we are so very saddened with his leave, we do know that he is in a better place and with time that we will see him again. With much love, Kathie
