A fine caring women ,always ready to play a few games when we visit and not once allowing a miss count of spaces. It was always in the count and no wonder the counting of stitches she did of the many sweaters. She made which are still to this day around and being shared threw all , and now 35 years later being shared threw great grand children and still hanging in closets waiting to be used by great grand children. A huge flash back in time when they make their appearance. She encouraged me to knit. I knitted one yes 1 hat. I would get motion sickness every two rolls from watching the needles . The family will miss her very much.

Our Beautiful Mother
When we were young you took our hands and led us through the forest green
We sat upon the mossy ground and played in bubbling stream.
We brought you flowers from the grassy banks and longed to see your smile,
You picked us up and kissed our cheeks and bade us stay awhile.
You taught us how to love the earth the animals and the birds,
You calmed our fears when thunder roared with soft and gentle words.
You taught us how to say our prayers before we went to sleep,
And how the Lord would love us so our souls that he would keep.
Now you have gone to your heavenly home and wait for us up there,
We’ll miss you Mom when we clean your home and see your empty chair
We’ll miss you Mom when we look around and see you everywhere.
Thank you for the times we shared a moment in the rain,
Beneath the black Umbrella on our walk to see Lorraine.
You know your family loves you so and we celebrate your life.
We think of all you’ve done for us all the moments shared,
How you worked so very hard to show us that you cared.
We know that you are happy now living with the Lord.
He will teach you of his heavenly home where Celestial sun will burn
Where pain and sorrow flee away never to return
We promise you oh mother dear that we will do our best
To love and care for one another until our day of rest,
That we may enter in at last to our degree of glory
For now we’ll share those memories and write your precious story.
