She was born on July 21st 1946, in Salisbury, N.C. to Harry and Tharon Livengood. She graduated from Orrick High School in Missouri. She met and married her first husband, they had two sons, Richard and Jerry Wood. That marriage ended quickly. Then she met George Krueger and they had two daughters, Tanya and Lucinda Krueger.

JoAnn raised three of her children while being a stay-at-home mom until her marriage with George ended after 18 years. Then she ventured out and became a Certified Nursing Assistant. She had also worked as a Customer Service Representative at Center Partners. She ended up having to retire early at 62, because of a car wreck. JoAnn had a love for animals, from horses, dogs, cats to birds. She also liked to sew, cook and make no-bake cookies and breads. She also cherished time with her great-grandchildren. JoAnn had an amazing heart and was an amazing Mother, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Aunt and friend to many. Always there when we needed her.
