Wayne Charles Blakeley passed from this life on September 27, 2019 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on February 4, 1950 to Ben and Hazel Blakeley.  He went to North Kansas City High School.  He joined the Navy and served from 1969-1971 during the Vietnam war. While he lived in Kansas City, Missouri he opened an auto repair business called Blakeley Brothers, Inc. and served the community with his unique abilities of diagnosing and repairing automobiles.  He also was involved in many multi-level marketing companies selling health and nutritional products. In 2009 he located his family and the budding Living Streams Mission to Idaho where it has grown to date.  He leaves many grateful colleagues and customers that he personally coached and mentored during the last decade. He loved his family and Jesus, devoting himself to the task he was asked to do in helping people find natural ways to deal with health challenges. He is proceeded in death by his parents Ben and Hazel Blakeley, and brother Mike Blakeley.   He leaves behind his beloved wife Mary, his children Susan and Grant Blakeley, step-children Veronica Watkins/Brad and Marcus Watkins/Becka and 8 grandchildren, sisters Dixie Sampson/Glen, Nancy Byers/Ronnie and many nieces and nephews, and his best friend/dog Muffin.Wayne will be remembered as a man who remained true to his convictions, inspired confidence, extremely inventive, intelligent, and generous.  He will be remembered and greatly missed until the day we all meet again.

This poem called “Purpose” by Edgar Albert Guest describes my husband Wayne.

Not for the sake of the gold.

Not for the sake of the fame.

Not for the prize would I hold

Any ambition or aim:

I would be brave and be true

Just for the good I can do.

I would be useful on earth,

Serving some purpose or cause,

Doing some labor of worth,

Giving no thought to applause,

Thinking less of the gold or the fame

Than the joy and the thrill of the game.

Medals their brightness may lose,

Fame be forgotten or fade,

Any reward we may choose

Leaves the account still unpaid.

But little real happiness lies

In fighting alone for a prize.

Give me the thrill of the task,

The joy of the battle and strife,

Of being of use, and I’ll ask

No greater reward from this life.

Better than fame or applause

Is striving to further a cause.

On our recent trip to Missouri I played the song…This is My Quest over and over again.  He prepared for months to go to appointments with executives of a local hog operation to help them with solutions for their sick hogs.  His passion was to create healthier solutions in Agriculture.  This dream was not realized but I believe he planted seeds for future efforts in this area to be carried on by our family. We will continue the legacy of caring and providing probiotic products to those who need them through our mission “Living Streams Mission”.If anyone wants to send a donation to our mission in lieu of flowers or other gifts, there is a spot to do this on our website.  The link is:
