A Special Gift From My Dad,
Clark Alan Fessenden ♡
On Thursday, 1/16/2020, around 1:30pm my Mom and I walked into Bell Tower Funeral Home and Crematory to pick up my Dads ashes from his cremation.
When we walked in, we saw 3 women standing there;
The receptionist, the Funeral Director, and the Mortician.
(No this is not about to be a funny joke lol)
All 3 women were eager to share with us an incredible and unique story about what they found in my Dad's ashes.
The Mortician pulled out a small grey pouch which she held in her hand and proceeded to tell my Mom and I a story...
She said:
"We found this in Clark's ashes. We can't explain it and we have never seen anything like this before..."
A perfectly shaped heart ♡ with my Dads ashes and bits of his bone all permanently burned onto it.
This is a unique gift & blessing because when the body goes into be cremated, they go in without anything on the body so it seems unexplainable...
Thank you Dad for this Gift of Love <3
One last thing we want to share,
We unanimously decided to donate my Dad's Corneas.
This was a gift of sight to an 83 year old woman who can now see because of my Dads donation.
We believe he would have wanted that :)
We love you and miss you Dad.
We are all beyond grateful for your gift of love and knowing you are with us everyday!!

Clark and I loved spending time with our dear friends Pete and Jacque. Some of my best memories with Clark were also shared with Jacque and Pete and of course our girls! There was nothing Clark loved more than to kick our butts in a game of frisbee golf on the WII, which he did nearly every time as his aim was amazing! I will forever miss our "Game Nights", but what great memories I will always carry with me!

Last Hoorah Family Photos in the Driveway
I felt like I needed to put these pictures in a separate album,
I don't want these getting lost in all the other pictures.
On this day, we were saying goodbye to each other.
I had to leave and make my way back to Olympia, Washington.
We didn't know when/if we would all be together again! ;(
So these pictures are very special memories of us four together <3
Very thankful for our time together as a family.

This album honors the Summer of 2019!
My family knew by this point that my Dad had Stage 4 Cancer and everyone knew it was important to spend quality family time together.
Tanya flew home from Hawaii and spent all summer, 3 months, at home with my parents.
I was able to come home and spend the first half of the summer with my family creating special and long lasting memories.
My brother Jordan and his girlfriend Hannah made the trip up to Idaho from San Juan Islands in Washington to be with my Dad and all of us.
We are all very lucky and blessed to have gotten this quality family time! <3
The first picture in the album is my Dad, Tanya and myself. That was the day that Tanya and I ended up catching the same flight from Seattle into the Spokane Airport to go home. Thankfully my Dad felt good enough to drive to Spokane to pick us up! The 3 of us went to a buffet in Coeur d'Alene (My Dad absolutely LOVED buffet's!) We left feeling sooooo full and happily satisfied! It felt good to just be together knowing good memories were on the Horizon :) This was the first time my Mom, Dad, Tanya, and I had all been together and spent time being a family probably in forever, or at least since the end of High School in 2009, so this summer really meant a lot to us!

Family photo's mostly from the 90's.
Almost all of these pictures were taken in Friday Harbor of the San Juan Islands,
with the exception of maybe a couple in Whidbey Island where my grandparents have lived for many years.
The San Juan Islands were a major part of Tanya and my childhood so these are really important memories!
I wish we had even more pictures from the Islands ;) Thankful for what we do have!
Love you Dad
