Lawrence Wayne “Larry” Adams Larry Adams, 79, died early Sunday morning January 19, 2020 at Hospice of North Idaho Schneidmiller Hospice House. Larry was born in Anatone, Washington on April 28, 1940 to Oris and Edith Adams, delivered by his grandma, Mildred Cain. Larry graduated from Clearwater Valley High School in Kooskia, Idaho in 1958. After graduation he went to work for the Bureau of Public Roads, now the Federal Highway Administration. Larry had an amazing career building roads and bridges in Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Alaska. While replacing the Toklat River Bridge in Denali National Park in 1986, he met Mary Wigington. She would become his wife in 1993. He retired in 1995, living in Hollis, Alaska until 1997. Larry and Mary moved to Idaho then because it was always home to him. Larry is survived by Mary, his three children, Tawnie Bunke (Doug), Larry Adams Jr. (Jeri), Dawn Blight (Joe), brother Richard Adams (Karen), 3 sisters: Nancy MacPherson (John), Karen Buster and Rosemary Agee (Mike). Larry had 6 grandkids and 7 great grandkids that he was so proud of, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother, LeRoy Adams, of St. Maries, Idaho and his parents. A small memorial is being planned for this spring near Bonners Ferry, Idaho where Larry worked on the Moyie River Bridge from 1962 to 1964. Larry was known for his generosity, wry sense of humor, love of hunting and fishing and his quiet way of telling it like it is. In lieu of flowers, take your family camping. Bell Tower Funeral Home and Crematory is entrusted with services. Please share your memories of Larry at www.belltowerfuneralhome.com.
