Obituary of Andrew Scott Lucas
Please share a memory of Andrew to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Andrew Scott (Drew) Lucas, 18 of Rathdrum, ID was taken from us too soon January
18 th , 2020. Andrew was born in Coeur D’alene, Idaho on October 20 th , 2001 to parents
Cassy Clairmont and Christopher Lucas. As a boy he had spent some time growing up in
Minnesota and Alaska, but eventually he returned to Idaho and settled in the Rathdrum
area. Andrew was a senior at Mountain View High School and had plans to attend Pratt
University next fall as an art therapy major. He also had plans to marry his fiancé Athena
Baldwin in December 2020.
Andrew was an amazing artist. His skill was so great that not only was he accomplished
in drawing and painting but using his imagination Andrew could take something ordinary
and re-create it into something beautiful. He loved helping others, and he saw how it was
possible to heal the soul while creating works of art. That is why he had hoped to
combine his passions for art and helping others into a career in art therapy.
Andrew is survived by his mother Cassy Clairmont, father Christopher Lucas, fiancé
Athena Baldwin, sisters RaeLee and Areyānna, brothers Killian (Jack), Brandon, and
Nekiah, grandmothers Nancy (nana) Clairmont and Amy Lucas, aunts Kaili Donica,
Nissa Herbert, Felicia, Nancy, and Danielle Norris, uncles Tim Herbert, Clancy Lucas,
and Matt Chambers, and cousins Brock (son Grayson), Kayde and Aspen (son Archer)
Noah, Brayden, Westin Herbert, Shannon Smith Arlene, baby Clancy, Evver, Journey
Scott, James, and Jeremiah, and last, but certainly not least his cat Blue.
Andrew will now be joining his papa Tom Clairmont who preceeded him in death.
