Rosemary Pearl (Ooms) Rickey - 82, of Hayden, ID passed away on March 29, 2020 in Post Falls, ID. She was born on December 3, 1937 in Los Angeles, CA to Charles and Mary (Lickteig) Ooms. Later her family moved to Emmett, ID and then to Deer Park, WA where she attended high school. Rosie married Ellis Gene Rickey on August 24, 1955 and celebrated their 64th anniversary last year. During that time, they lived in Chattaroy WA, Elk WA, Pasco, WA and lastly Hayden ID. Rosie worked exceedingly hard as a full time homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Rosie had many interests including fishing, sewing, canning, Elvis music, and playing cards with her dear friends and family. She was especially fond of regular trips to Nevada with her husband and friends. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was so proud of every one of them. Rosie is survived by her husband, Ellis Gene Rickey of Hayden ID, daughter Donna (Tom) Bertsch of Post Falls, ID, daughter-in-law Lola Rickey of Elk, WA, three granddaughters, Lacey Reedy of Elk, WA, Ashley Payton of Moscow, ID and Tori Niemi of Billings, MT, along with five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mary Ooms, brothers Arthur and Thomas, sister Betty Holtman and her dear son, Randy G. Rickey. A memorial service to be held June 18th, 2020 at 11am at the Bell Tower Funeral Home Chapel in Post Falls, Idaho.
