Obituary of Eleanor Schooley

Elinor "Nadine" Schooley was born in Osage City, Kansas, to William M. Brown and Lucy B. Brown. She was raised in Osage City, and graduated from Lyndon High School. She moved with her family to Colorado in the1930s to help her parents run a restaurant in Brighton CO. She later moved to Denver and went to work at the Gates Rubber Co. It was there that she meet her future mother in law who introduced her to Benjamin F. Schooley III. Nadine later to went to work for Martin Marrieta Co.,(Lockheed\Martin) where she worked on various defense and NASA projects. She retired from Martin after a long career and then enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and visiting her grandchildren. She moved to Coeur d' Alene in 2005 to be closer to her only son and family. Nadine loved her grandchildren; Melissa & Brad Robb, Drew & Mike Farrar, Ben V and Sarah Schooley, Casey Schooley and Alicia Townsend. She also loved her 5 great grandchildren; Colton and Camryn Farrar, Reese and Ben VI Schooley and Emma Robb. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Beatrice and Benjamin F. Schooley III. She treasured her family, friendships and her country. Services for Nadine will be held at 1 pm on Friday September 7th, 2012 @ North Star Retirement Home, formerly Fairwinds, located at 2470 W. Seltice Way, CDA.
