Barmarth J. (Doug) Hanson, 67, Coeur d’Alene
passed away peacefully at Kootenai Health on Tuesday, November 3, 2020
Doug was a kind and loving man who will be greatly missed. He was born November 30, 1952 in Kellogg, Idaho. Doug spent many years as a professional chef and was a excellent cook. He enjoyed preparing meals for his family and friends and was always willing to help if they were in need. He spent his last few years caring for his mother in their family home in Pinehurst. Doug was eldest of six children.
He is survived by his mother Dorla Hanson Johnson of Pinehurst, brothers Bernie (Diane) Hanson of Pinehurst , Andy (Julie) Hanson of Pinehurst, Steve (Brenda) Hanson of Coeur d’Alene and sister Marla Giese (Dave Kokot) Port Orchard, WA. as well as 3 step-sisters & their spouses Deonne Moyers (Art), Denise Ellingston (Jerry) & Chris Vlastelic (Harry), and numerous nieces, nephews & great nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Barmarth R. (Dub) Hanson, sister Carla Hanson & step-father Stan Johnson Jr.
A private family graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Bell Tower Funeral Home in Post Falls, Idaho is in charge of arrangements.
