Bob was a guy you never forget! He came across as loud, crusty and opinionated but the man had a BIG heart of gold! We had a tree fallen and hung up and we chatted about it.a couple days we came home and it was mysteriously cut down!! We were in the hospital with Covid and we got out to find Bob had plowed our long driveway out! While we were stuck at home after being ill..Bob knew I liked to watch the deer so every day he would come down on his 4 wheeler and dump pumpkins for them to eat and I could watch. I wish in all the years up on the mt we had gotten to know this cool guy better!

From the first moment we met Bob, we felt so lucky to call him our neighbor. We never went a day without, living here on the mountain - whether it was tacky home furnishings, or useful gestures like the use of his log splitter. He ensured we felt at home here, and he and Lynne quickly moved from neighbors to friends, and finally our north Idaho family. We still look for his truck on our daily walks and miss his never ending banter, always provided with the kind of love only Bob could give. xo, Kyle, Karin, Waylon Duncan + the pups

It is with a full heart that I draw up this memory of Bob Myles a dear neighbor and friend from Fairfield, CT.... the good old days. Bob had the heart of a child (mischievous at times) when he was relating to his friends and neighbors. Always a charitable heart .... I remember a terrific snowstorm along the waterfront at Fairfield Beach, we were marooned in our home set back far enough from the road to keep us stranded. A knock at the door and of course it was Bubba saying, “I’m clearing you out, don’t worry and I’ll be here tomorrow” and so it went. He was always doing the “clearing out” for anyone that needed it.That clearing out could include garbage in your head that he would replace with his big smile!

It is impossible to describe the void I now feel after sharing the past 10 years of my life with the one and only, oh so original, Bubba Myles. There has never been and will never be anyone that can fill his boots. He was an amazing, strong, authentic, kind, talented, creative, tenacious, generous, fun, artistic, loving man with a huge heart! ❤️ I love him with all my heart and miss him very much. Rest In Peace my dear Bubba.

I am so sorry for your loss. Bubba had a huge impact on me when I was a wiseass teenager that thought I knew it all. His message was always the same: your parents know what they're doing and you need to respect them. I also always appreciated how he was so willing to lend a hand to anyone. I remember riding in his truck once on our way to fix my car that had broken down the night before; we passed another car that was broken down, and he pulled over to help the stranded driver. What a great man he was.
