Obituary of Kenneth Lee Dunn

Please share a memory of Kenneth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kenneth L. Dunn, 85, a 55-year resident of North Idaho, died Sunday, February 7, 2021, at his home in Rathdrum, Idaho. Born in Glasgow, Montana on August 29, 1935, to William and Norma Dunn, he was the oldest of two children and grew up in Montana until 1966. Growing up Ken was involved in many sports; his favorites were basketball and football. He also loved spending time with his friends and family. He graduated from Denton High School in 1954. After a brief stint in the US Army, Kenny moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1966. Was hired by GTE and worked there as a lineman until retirement in 1991. He was also a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. In his spare time he loved watching golf and solving Sudoku puzzles. Ken loved his dogs, always had one by his side and his favorite was Chewy. Ken was a handy guy, always working on his house and doing woodworking to make any home he lived in unique. In 1982 Ken married the love of his life Dody and they enjoyed playing golf, hanging by their pool, and traveling. When Ken lost Dody in 1994, he said he would give anything to have her back. She made him a better man. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all that knew him. Ken is survived by his three children, Kallie Mulvaney, Casey Dunn and his wife Patty, Katie McCallum and her husband Travis, one stepdaughter, Laura Shaw and her husband Carl and his many grandchildren, Kortenai, Malachi, Jerrich, Lara, Aidian, Tylie, Marissa, Avory, Liam, Mason, Logan, and Hayden.
