I was shocked when I heard of Allan's passing as we had been conversing on Hydroplane History FB on occasion and I was also following his work on Murdo's project. My wife Tonette and I are sending our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family. Jack Barrie, driver of the Unlimited Hydroplane KISW Miss Rock and myself have both enjoyed first knowing Allan as a friend and crewing beside him on the Miss Rock for many years. Jack and I have collaborated on what began as an online post, that has now become a limited number of booklets of printed material as well as several photos explaining Fred Leland's efforts on the Packard PT boat engine that Allan was most certainly part of. The booklet is titled "Pursuing Packard Power" and I would like to send one to Theresa for the family to enjoy as a lasting memory of Allan. I dedicated the original story in "Memory of Fred Leland" and included in "Special Memory of Allan Revel" and others in the printed booklet. Please contact me at (doug.e.beach@comcast.net) with an address so I may send a copy for Theresa to share with the family. Sincerely Doug and Tonette Beach

Hello, My name is David and I live here in Tri-City’s Wa.
I’m a huge fan and supporter for the Sport if Unlimited Hydroplanes since 1983.
I was following the Merdo Project that Allen was involved in that surrounded the making of a replica of a Unlimited Hydroplane.
After watching the negative reviews from old Boat Owners and others , I had to step in.
I seen from the beginning the talent and the innovation that Allen and Murdo we’re doing.
At times I would take time to privately RR there project on social media and applaud the effort and innovations that they were doing that no one else had taken up in decades in the sport of unlimited Hydroplane.
I reached out to Alan and offered to go further and take up with there permission to fully PR and give there project The proper exposure that it needed on are local news and other sites.
That’s how Allen and I Meet. We began Converting back and forth and even had a friend in common named Paul whom he help move and dive him to Wisconsin.
Allen and I became good friends even tho we never meet in person.
Then in 2019 at the Columbia Cup Allen called me and gave me the great news Merdo wanted to grant me the permission to promote their boat and project and that’s how I meet Mr. Merdo for the first time.
I was excited to visit Allen and Murdo but unfortunately Covid came around and canceled the 2020 season.
Then the shocking news .
My heart still aches. There was so much talent in Allen and all he done. He gave me an opportunity I will treasure a lifetime.
He was and always will be a legend in the sport and much much more.
So this 2021 we will toast to Allen the Columbia Cup.
