Please share a memory of Nash to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Nash August McComber, 66, of Rathdrum, ID, passed away on April 2nd at his home in Rathdrum, ID after a long battle of stomach cancer surrounded by his close family and friends. Nash was born in Honolulu, Oahu to Melvin Lloyd and Myrtle Jane Pualani (Kanae) McComber on April 5, 1954. He attended and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1972. He served in the army from 1973 to 1975. He worked at various employments throughout his life time which included the Dole Plantation, Tour companies, Mechanic shops, Sanitation cleaner, and Pest Control. Nash was married to his lovely wife Shelaila and mother to his children for 39 years. In 2000, he made the decision to move his family to Clarkston, WA to provide a better life for his family as well as having more employment opportunities such as long-haul and local truck driving which he retired from. In 2015, Nash and his wife moved to Rathdrum, ID to finish out their retirement near family. Nash was a force of nature. He was determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world; something he often mentioned. He was extremely passionate about working on cars and could often be found outside in his holy clothes, even after being diagnosed with stomach cancer. He would even show up the young ones when it came to cutting wood and yard work. He never let his condition stop him from doing things he enjoyed. Nash was quite a stubborn and closed off man but always put his family and friends before himself. He was the most loving and caring person to his family and to those who kept things real. Nash is survived by his daughters Shanna Huddleston and Shantel McComber, son Nash McComber Jr, son-in-law Dustin Huddleston, grandchildren: Shastine Huddleston, Shaylynn McComber, Bailey Wilkins, Daemon Huddleston, Sienna Huddleston, and Malakhai McComber. He is preceded in death by his wife Shelaila McComber, mother Myrtle McComber, and father Lloyd McComber.
