Obituary of Owen Stephenson

Please share a memory of Owen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Owen (Ole) Stephenson, 83 from Rathdrum, Idaho peacefully left this life at the Coeur d'Alene Hospice House on Friday, November 16, 2012, and was reunited with his wife Arlene, who preceded him in death in 2011. Many things can be said about a person's life as a remembrance, but for each person there is a different memory or piece of the person that we will carry for the rest of our lives. Ole walked side by side with everyone, and left a piece of himself in everyone he touched, and in that way left this world as a better place. He was born on August 23, 1929 in Wallace, Idaho, to Thomas and Alethia Bartholomew. Ole grew up in Wallace, spending most of his life in the Valley until he moved to Rathdrum after he retired. He was a member of the Calam Shriners and the Shoshone Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his son Larry and wife Cathy of Spokane, brother Donald and wife Ruth of Coeur d'Alene and sister Bernice of Spokane, grandson Jeremy and wife Wendy and great grandson Jasper of Hayden. A private family memorial will be held, as Ole did not want a big fuss. The family requests donations to Hospice House of North Idaho in lieu of flowers.
