Obituary of Gary Eugene Tomblin
Please share a memory of Gary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
After battling with Alzheimers for a few years, Gary Eugene Tomblin passed away and returned to live with his Father in Heaven on July 18, 2021. He was 78 years old. Gary was born in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho in 1943 to Marguerite Eileen Wood Tomblin and George Carlton Tomblin.
Gary was a loyal and caring friend to many. He had a larger-than-life personality and loved to tease and start up conversations with everyone he met. He had a very loud voice when he spoke, and his laughter could be heard anywhere. He worked hard his whole life for his family and always made sure they were taken care of. Gary loved to garden. He also enjoyed raising cattle for several years. He taught his boys how to ride and fix motorcycles and how to work on cars. He was a simple man with a big heart who was devoted to his friends and family.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 39 years, Edie Kaye Tomblin. He is survived by his brother Bruce, his wife Verma Kay Tomblin, 4 children, 2 stepchildren, 21 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild due this October.
