Grandma lived such a full, rich life and she touched everyone around her. I am proud to say that she has been one of those who has made me who I am. I have always known that my need to be creative comes from her, but most recently I am proud of being resourceful just like her. She literally could make something beautiful out of nothing - I'm not sure I'm there yet, but I have learned to make good use of what I have and not to waste. There is great satisfaction that comes from not wasting anything and I often think of her when I am successful. Grandma was a good sport and was game for anything - she let my hands get in the middle of creating whatever we were working on and taught me that I couldn't fail making a creation that came from my heart. She also taught me to shine the faucets on the sinks when I cleaned them because if I did, no one would doubt that the sink was clean. Thanks, Grandma for your generosity and your many, many gifts over the years. I love you.

My favorite part of going to Grandma B's was playing board games. My favorite game was "Alaska". I remember that with each roll of the die, Grandma would tell a mission story. She taught with tenderness about her love for the Lord and the people she and Grandpa served while in Alaska. I remember how touched I was as both grandparents spoke and bore testimony about mission service. It not only inspired me in my own mission service, but continually leaves in me a strong desire to someday serve side by side with my dear wife Bethanie.
Grandma always dropped everything for her children and their children, but it wasn't always just family. She was constantly in the service of those around her even at times when her own health was failing. Our little Jadelyn loved to visit Grandma, because she had always made her something special. She also loved her Song Bird book.
Thank you Grandma for setting an example of never tiring in the service of others. You are an example of Christlike love. Thank you for the testimony that you lived and leave with us.

Grandma taught me to embroider, to press flowers, and to be more creative with my artistic abilities. She always had projects prepared when we would visit as children. She never stopped serving others even after she went blind. She continued to send bookmarks around the world with missionaries so everyone could know they are a special child of God. One of her stories that touched me the most is her friendship with her young friend Caleb, who is also blind. She never stopped sewing or giving gifts. She is forever working and serving and I know that is exactly what she is doing right now. I love you Grandma!
