Obituary of Earl Robert Nelsen

Please share a memory of Earl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
If someone asked you to describe this man: every person would answer the same. Someone that liked people and always enjoyed talking with them, someone that was honest and had the highest integrity, someone that had a fun sense of humor and had a ready smile, someone that was ready to help in an instant and never asked the same of himself, and someone most of all, that loved the Lord and spent every morning in his devotional book. Born May 12, 1944, in Spokane, Washington to Jessie and Woodrow Nelsen. Grandparents were Lucille and William Burgess. His two older brothers preceded him in death this past year – Kenneth and James Nelsen. He met his wife, Connie M. Fuller at Eastern Washington College, Cheney, Washington as a freshman. Love took hold, and they were blessed the rest of their lives together. He was in ROTC so became as 1st LT. and was sent to New York missile base during Vietnam. One of his officer duties was to notify next of kin of the fallen soldiers at the time. He then went to University of Utah Law School for 3 years, and gaining a son, Michael and a daughter, Stacey. Now they were pure joy for the married couple. After graduating, they moved to Seattle to begin several corporate positions, and enjoyed all the beauty of the area, and the excitement that came along with the positions. After the last of the corporate jobs had ended, he opened up his own Law Practice. His clients were all people that were helping others and made a positive difference. Then the move to Post Falls, Idaho was a return to a cabin on the river that him and his dad had built in 1958. Remodeling was done, and the quiet beauty of the river finished out his life. No man will be missed more, and he was such an amazing husband, dad, and papa. That is where his happiness shone brightly. May Jesus hold him in His arms as we wait to see him again. Surviving members of his family: his wife of 56 years – Connie M. Fuller Nelsen of Walla Walla, his son – Dr. Michael R. Nelsen of Bellevue, WA, his daughter in law, Dr. Michele Nelsen of Bellevue, WA, his daughter, Stacey M. Ohlman of Post Falls, his son in law, Dan Ohlman of Post Falls and his four beautiful granddaughters, Marissa, Shawna, Alyson and Shelby. We have lost a much-loved husband, dad, and papa – until we meet again
