Obituary of Vita Louise LaFond

She was studying to be a nun and then she had me. She took care of me when I fell, it made my heart shudder. I crumpled in the blanket she gave me. She always knew how to make me feel better. She was one pot wanda. She made her pot roast last week and a half ago, and her gravy took me back. JUST like when we were kids - Angie, daughter She loved the spoken word, was a co-counselor, and retired from the Hematology and Oncology department at Rady Children's Hospital to care for her elderly parents in her 60s. She was a survivor of childhood trauma. She studied to be a nun for a time as a teen before college. Mom was a published poet, winning a poetry contest at Mesa College. She was the only (I think) of her siblings to graduate with any degree, earning an AA in English at Mesa. - Vic, son Mom was extremely pro life, she fought hard for unborn children. She was courageous when it came to tough decisions, making up her mind and really doing it. - Lucy, daughter Mom was really creative. I always admired her artistic eye, and her attention to detail. She loved sewing and creating. She had a gift for matching colors and patterns in fun and artsy ways. - Juanita, daughter A great single mother raising her children doing the best she can with whatever she has. - Margaret, daughter
