It was an honor and a privilege to know Ben this past year as his neighbor. As so many have said, he was a bright light in this world, and a person of warmth and character. Ben touched lives in ways that are precious and that will not be forgotten. Sending love and prayers to Becky, Amanda, and to all Ben's family in the hope that their memories and love will encircle and sustain them knowing we will all remember Ben in our hearts.
For Ben
While we are the better
For knowing you as we do,
It was too soon a day when
God took us from you.
But while we are the mourners now,
Our tears won’t always see
For your sweet light is upon us and
An Angel you will be.
So rest our grieved hearts right now
For tomorrow is our dream
That one day we will meet again and
See your glory Beam.
Until that time, we will rise
And hold you in our hearts,
And the Light you shine
Will let us know
That we have loved
Sublime.

There are those in this world that make our lives a brighter place, bring a light into the darkness, and that make us all the better just by knowing them. Ben was one such person. I first met Ben just over a year ago, shortly after moving into the neighborhood. We instantly hit it off with our passion for old cars and home projects. Soon, we would be driving to Nine Mile Falls to look at a 1956 Nomad which had been neglected for many decades. To us, it was a thing of beauty, to everyone else, it would have been a bit of a sell to bring back home. We attended various car events together. He had helped me disassemble another old relic for the “vintage” (rusty) parts that it contained. We worked on various HOA projects together. Ben had his hands on just about every project that came along and always arrived with just the right tool. He was a man of quality, big heart, kindness and generosity. He loved the simple things in life—a good bourbon, a good conversation, and a big cigar. But most of all, he loved his wife, Becky and daughter, Amanda. Through them and all who he has touched, he will live on. Godspeed Ben!

I am utterly devastated by this news! There was no person in my life that did more for my career in the Medical products industry than Ben. He gave me a shot at the age of 22 directly out of college with not a shred of experience. 35 years later I'm still here and it's all a testament to his guidance. He taught me. He educated me. He mentored me. He believed in me. I and my family owe my entire career and life's work to Ben. I love you my dear friend and will think of you and honor you always! My deepest sympathy to you Becky and the entire family!

Ben was a wonderful friend and mentor. I worked with Ben @ First Quality Products in the late 90's and early 2000's. Ben taught me many things in the world of medical sales. I worked with him as his nurse and he always referred to me as "my nurse." I had never worked in any other area than traditional nursing so this was a whole new world for me. Ben guided me and showed me how to connect with our business partners in a personal way. He wasn't there to just to sell something. He made friends. He knew many people and was a great salesman. Ben was such a neat guy. He was happy and full of sunshine. He would always talk about his family and his beautiful wife Becky. It felt like I almost knew her.
He will be missed dearly and I am glad he was a part of my life for a short time.

I did not know Ben personally, however I work with many people at First Quality who did. He was obviously an amazing individual, mentor, and friend to anyone he was associated with. I just wanted to send a note of my condolences and comfort as Ben is now at Peace with the Lord in Heaven.
May his soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, Rest In Peace
Amen.
