Obituary of Sharon Ruth Rohrbach

Sharon Ruth Rohrbach (Putzier) 84, died January 15, 2022. Sharon was born in Winner, South Dakota February 17, 1937 to Irvin McGill Putzier and Ethel Ruth Storrud Putzier. She was number five of ten children. The family moved several times during her youth. They settled in Ipswich, South Dakota where Sharon graduated in 1955, and where the Putzier and Rohrbach families also met. In the mid 1950’s other family members had already moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, including Milbert Rohrbach, her soon-to-husband. In the spring of 1956 Sharon moved and married Milbert on June 1. In 1965 Sharon and Milbert purchased a small farm on the Rathdrum prairie raising their four children: Bert, Shari, Lorn (Louise) and Sandra (Mike) there. Sharon loved flowers and gardening, but not farming. Any flower was a beautiful flower. Sharon and Milbert stayed in Coeur d’Alene for their 65 years of marriage. Sharon had eight ‘perfect’ grandchildren: Skylar, Tristan, Levi, Jessica, Shane, Quinn, Angelina and Melissa. She was able to visit all eight grandchildren before she passed away. Family was so important to her. She talked about the visits she had had with her grandchildren even in the final days. Sharon is preceded in death by her brothers Marvin Putzier, Rollin Putzier and her sisters Colleen Kemmer and Shiela Skidmore. She is survived by husband Milbert and her brothers Irvin, Carl and Galen Putzier, her sisters Joan Lucey and Holly Littlejohn as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon was a Jehovah’s Witness. In 1953 and in 1958 she attended the International Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses in New York City. Those events were very special moments for Sharon. She loved to talk about Jehovah’s love for mankind and the promises found in His word the Bible. She firmly believed in the promise of a resurrection to a restored Earth as stated in Revelation 21:3,4 and John 5:28,29. She also looked forward to the words of Amos 9:14 “To make gardens and eat fruit of them”, where she will once again design and grow her flower gardens. The family would like to thank the staff at Schneidmiller House for their gentle care of Mom. A Zoom Memorial Service will be coordinated with her Eastlake Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses on February 5, 2022 at 01:00 P.M.
