Obituary of Chris Pedersen

Christopher (Chris) Pedersen, 50, died at his residence on April 9, 2022, in Post Falls, Idaho. Chris was born on July 26, 1971 in New Jersey to Alfred E. Pedersen and Lettie (Hamblet) Pedersen. Chris grew up in many states, due to the nature of his father’s job. These include Long Island NY, Boston MA, Madison OH, Huntsville AL, and Boulder CO. He also lived in Requena Spain for a year. Schools Chris attended include an elementary in Shoreham NY, St Gertrude in Cincinnati OH, and St. Mary's Academy in St Marys KS. He then went on to attend Gonzaga University in Spokane WA. In May of 1993, Chris married Theresa Denke in Post Falls Idaho. They were blessed with five children. Chris’ career consisted mostly in sales and recently in a concrete company. Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing sports, especially basketball which he coached his son’s (Christian) team for a time. He played guitar, and so loved spending time with his children and boasting about them to those who knew him. He loved the ocean and cooking for his family. Chris is preceded in death by his father, Alfred Pedersen and his grandparents, Edward and Ruby Pedersen, Edward and Mae Hamblet. His survivors include: his children, Christian, Sabrina, Nicholas, Jacob and Steven. His siblings: Peri Denke, Lisa Murphy (James Murphy), Inger Awerkamp (Bobby Awerkamp). His mother Lettie Pedersen, and 23 nieces and nephews.
