Jerry Delane Ferdinand, 78, of Coeur d’Alene, ID passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at his home. He was born in Melvin, IL on January 21, 1944, the son of Walter and Jessie Ferdinand.
He attended Milford Township High School. He joined the United States Army in 1965 where he was a member of the Rifle and Pistol Team. He also earned the National Defense Service Medal. He served in Korea before returning home to help his father farm. He worked for Azzarelli Construction and Chicago Bridge and Iron in Illinois. He worked for Lyson Construction in ID. He enjoyed riding horses, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, and 2 nephews.
He is survived by his wife Judy Langman Ferdinand and three daughters: Jeri Ferdinand of Post Falls, ID, Julie and son-in-law Dennis Bingham of Cartersville, GA and Jody and son-in-law David Butler of Des Moines, IA, 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 sisters Cynthia (Gilbert) Schleef and Paulette (Greg) Edwards, 1 brother-in-law Brent (Rita) Langman, 5 nephews and 2 nieces.
