Obituary of Peggy May Simmons

Peggy May Simmons, known as Meme, 88, born on the 5th of April, 1934 to David Lindsay and Jessie Lindsay (Robinson). Meme lived with her daughter Amber for 25 years in both Ukiah, CA and CDA/Post Falls, ID. She was born in Vera, TX and died at her home in Post Falls, ID. Peggy grew up in the Bay area of N. California, spending most of her adult life in Ukiah, CA. Her retirement was mostly spent in N. ID. Peggy’s education was all in Vocational Nursing in which she had degrees from Diablo Valley College and Contra Costa Jr. College. She worked at 5 different hospitals over 45 years in and around Ukiah, CA. She married Emmett Simmons on the 3rd of July, 1955 in Northern California and was widowed on the 10th of September, 2012. Peggy’s interests were enjoying nature, playing with her many pets and spending time watching movies with her family. She loved playing guitar, singing and going to church. Peggy is survived by her daughter and Son-in-law Demian and Amber Rose. Her 3 grandsons: Apollo, Chance and Griffin Rose. Demians Mother Mary Rose who joined the Rose household in 2017 as well as Demians sister Shalene and her family, her 3 brothers Maurice Lindsay, Michael Lindsay and Danny Lindsay, her sister Jackie Zellman and her nieces Debi Lockart, Peggy Ann Clappsaddle, Brenda Lindsay, her nephews Maurice Lindsay Jr. and Donald McCloud and many more extended family members around the country as well has her significant other Rupert Duncan.
