Obituary of Doris Ida Fetter

Doris Ida Fetter 86 of Garden Plaza of Post Falls died August 20, 2022 at the Hospice House in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. Doris was born February 08, 1936 in Beaulah, North Dakota to Adolph Horning and Magdalene Thielman Horning. Doris had 7 brothers and 3 sisters. Doris grew up in Zap North Dakota and graduated from High School May 1954. She then married Bert Fetter November 16, 1954 where they moved to Wallace and Bert worked in the mine for Hecla Mining Company. Doris worked at New Morrows in Wallace for many years and took courses at North Idaho College to become a license dietician and worked at assisted living facilities and retiring from Kootenai Health. Doris and Bert moved to Osburn in 1965 and then to Post Falls in 1987. Doris is survived by her daughters Gleniece (George), Post Falls ,Cheryl (Craig), Sun City West, Arizona, a sister Arline Bauer (Steve) Sun City, Arizona, a sister in law Darlene Petersen, Bemidji, Minnesota, and sister in law Betty Horning, Osburn, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Doris and Bert loved to bowl, golf and going to the Casinos. While Doris lived at Garden Plaza she loved to play bingo and card games with the residents. Doris was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and a member of Calvary Lutheran Church 1011 N Compton, Post Falls, Idaho 83854. She loved attending church to listen to Pastor Matt sing. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to her church. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in 2023.
