Brett Michael Maret passed away September 15, 2022. During the last 10 years, he faced many medical challenges. Despite all these difficulties, he always had a warm smile, faith in God, great love for his family, and a positive attitude. He was our surprise baby born on August 9, 1971 and resided in Anaheim, California until his move to Post Falls, Idaho in 2011. He graduated from Orange High School In 1989. After graduation, he became a salesman for a gun store. His passions were skeet shooting and throwing darts. He became an expert marksman in both. As a skeet shooter, he was so skilled he would often shoot 25 out of 25. His other passion was playing darts. In time, he became so proficient that he went on to become a "Master" player. During his career, "Big Foot" as he was affectionately known as, won various top tournaments. His passion and excellence in the sport inspired others to take up the game. Family and friends will remember him as being a fun loving and good natured person, a very kind and loyal friend, and a dedicated and caring son and brother. He will be missed. He is survived by his mother, Frances Lewis of Post Falls, Idaho, step-father, David Lewis of Post Falls, Idaho, Sister: Tina Carrillo (Joseph-Husband) of Yorba Linda, CA., Brother: Timothy Maret (Katherine-wife) Post Falls, Idaho. Nieces- Mikayla Carrillo, Yorba Linda, CA., Kaylee Maret, Post Falls, Idaho. Nephews: Mark (Darby) Maret of Plummer, Idaho and Kevin Maret, Post Falls, Idaho. He will be buried in Santa Ana Cemetery next to his late father, Roger Maret and grandparents Jess and Norma Maret.
