Please share a memory of Vicki to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Vicki Ann Christensen Pearson. She left us at 8:23 pm on December 30th, 2022 at the age of 85. She was born on August 23rd, 1937, to parents Erma Irene Bird and Milford Wayne Christensen in the town of Thomas Idaho. When she was in grade school, her parents divorced, her mother married her step father, Charles Ray Bates, and the family moved to Post Falls, Idaho. They later moved to Spokane Washington where she attended middle school and high school. She briefly attended Brigham Young University where she met and married Samuel Edwin Pearson, with whom she had and raised 9 children in Salt Lake City Utah. In 1974 they moved to Mt. Hope Washington where she spent the final 48 years of her life. A lifelong stay-at-home mother and homemaker extraordinaire, she was a gifted artist, enthusiastic dancer and expert seamstress who dedicated her life to raising her children and serving others. As an active member of the community as well as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints she served in many capacities, with a special love and gift for sharing music. Vicki was predeceased by her husband Samuel Edwin Pearson and her youngest son Michael William Pearson. She is survived by her 5 siblings Gary Christensen, Ladd (Patricia) Christensen, Steven (Julie) Bates, Sandy (Michael) Deacons, and Colleen Bates. She is also survived by her 8 children Robin (Jeff) Foutch, Lori (Brad) Konshuk, Bobi Jean (Tom) Andros, Scot (Amelia) Pearson, Charles Pearson, Kari Pearson, Steven (Geri) Pearson, Kristi (Rick) Parry, and daughter- in-law Acacia Pearson. She was also a loving grandmother to 34 grandchildren, as well as 42 great grandchildren. She was a strong, talented, kind woman who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was also well known for her world class hugs. A funeral will be held in her honor at the Spokane East LDS Stake Center located at 13608 E. Belle Terra Avenue, Spokane Valley, 99206. The service is at 11:00 am on Saturday, January the 7th. There will also be a memorial gathering with the family 1 hour prior to the service that all are invited to attend. Vicki was always generous with her time and money. For those who would like to honor her willingness to give, we would like to direct any donations to the LDS Humanitarian Fund, an organization that she loved to support. We love you to infinity and beyond, Mom!!!
