Obituary of Dale A Godfrey
Please share a memory of Dale to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dale Ayers Godfrey passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at the age of 88 at his home in Spokane Valley, WA. Dale was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
Dale was born to Wm. Henry and Ardella Godfrey on November 22, 1934 in Huntington, OR. After high school, Dale attended college for two years and served in the Army during the Korean War. Upon returning, he met Renee’ Lowe while attending a business college in Boise, ID. They soon married and had four children: Brien, Brenda, Kelly, and Kim.
Dale always loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed doing family history research.
After Renee’s passing, he found love again and married Alberta (Bertie) Hanley. They celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary just prior to his passing.
Dale was preceded in death by his two sons, Brien and Kim. He is survived by his brother Dennis, wife Bertie, daughters Brenda and Kelly, 8 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren—all of whom he loved dearly.
