Joanne was a kind and loving person to me. She always made me feel welcomed while living in her home. Joanne loved her juicy fruit gum, which I always supplied her with. She got much joy from simple things like that. She told me the gum helped her to release stress. It was a pleasure to know Joanne and she will be missed by all.

Q: What will you miss most about Joanne?
A: Her unconditional love, loyalty, kindness, trust, finding the good in everyone, enjoying the little things, make the best of all situations , don’t judge a book by it’s cover, don’t talk behind anyone’s, things are not as they seem, don’t believe everything that is said, oh so much more. I was so blessed to be her daughter. Can you imagine being 63 and 60 of those years we were together every day. Amazingly beautiful caring loving woman. She was not afraid to speak up and make you responsible for your actions when you needed it. She listened and truly cared about what you had to say. When I worked late night hours she would be there waiting for me to walk in the house saying “I am so happy you are home safe, I’m going to bed, Love you Lora Ann.” She was there my whole life . Thank you Mama for EVERYTHING Until we meet again. I Love you

I want to say thank you to all of you who helped me take care of my Mama. I absolutely appreciate you all so much. I was very blessed to be her daughter. Mom was absolutely amazing. She brought me up to be kind to people don’t spread rumors, Smile say hi. Be grateful. Share. No back stabbing. Loyalty Trust The glass is half full look for the good in everyone. If you don’t have anything nice to say you better keep you mouth shut and so much more. Being Positive And happy. Being raised that way I just thought that’s everyone was like that. Not everyone was as lucky as I was. Could you imagine being 63 years old and all but 3 years where spent every day with her. She was such a great mom She has always been with me. I am so lost It’s been very difficult being by myself. It gives me peace knowing she’s with my Daddy and no longer in pain and can hear and see again Bless you Mama Rest In Peace I Love You

My grandmother was always there for me, whether right or wrong. My grandmother was the most resilient, kind amazing woman I’ve ever met not just because she was my grandmother but because of her amazing qualities. My grandmother lost her parents at a young age and I never once heard her complain about it, never once heard her use it as an excuse for a way out of anything. My grandmother gave the most amazing hugs and over came her many challenges with grace and a smile. She was so honest even if you didn’t want to hear it. Everyone says the world will not be better without their loved ones but with me it truly is true. I loved her so much and she had this warmth about her that just made peace come to me in that moment.

Q: What 3 words best describe Joanne and why?
A: Love, integrity and her humor are the main qualities I will remember the most. Joanne loved me and excepted me, she excepted me for who I was and never made me feel any less. She was empathetic to all my things, lol! Whether it be emotional physical it did not matter she knew and she cared. Joanne welcomed me from day one and folded me into her family like I had always been there, told me stories of her love Grandpa Gino and I honestly felt like I knew him and he excepted me even though he had passed a few years before I showed up. I feel like I’ve been in a competition whose spaghetti sauce was better His or mine??. Lol! Just from her stories. I loved those stories. She made me feel like I was there through all of them. That was the wonder of the woman I loved and respected and affectionately called grandma. I love you now and forever grandma. Love Dawn Eleanor

Being one of the kids of the Fab Four there are just to many memories to choose from…what I can tell you is Aunt Jack and my mom -GG played a lot of cards, ate chocolate and laughed for hours on end…Everytime I dropped GG off for a visit I had to go to papa murphy’s then the store for Coke and ice cream and of course chocolate…They never wanted anything but to be together..Aunt Jack was a very important part of GG life in the end as GG dementia was getting worse and Aunt Jack just let her do what she needed to do… then they would carry on.. I thank you Aunt Jack for being GG’s person..and giving me the piece of mind when I was freaking out :):) Now all 4 of you are together again and I am sure you got your hands full…… LOL. I hope you know how much you were luv by this family… xoxoxo Krissy

Joanne Dawson was a great grandmother to all and evertime I would show up at the house she would have a big smile on her face. She would always tell us kids to stay out of trouble and we told her we would try out best lol. May you rest in peace we all love you and you will never be forgotten.

Joanne was a dear friend of my kids and myself, she told lots of stories to my kids. My son would sit there and listen to her. I would come over and help with anything that she wanted to decorate or if something needed to be put away or if something needs to be put together, or if she needed just someone to sit there with her.
