Gosh, I wish I had at least one picture to share! I have soooooo many memories, though, as anyone who knew Dave would. Dave, along with Mike Poole, were best friends with my older brother, Mark. Our parents' house in La Habra was the local hang out and party palace. Friday and/or Saturday nights would find us all cruising Whittier Blvd. in Mark's '69 Road Runner or just hanging out drinking beer and sending potato chips flying when trying to open the bag. We'd go to the mall or a restaurant and Dave would ask to have Mr. Dover paged: Mr. Ben Dover. No matter how many times this happened, Dave thought each was just as hilarious as the the previous times. My friends called him "Crazy Dave".
That was in the late '70s. In the early '80s, we all attempted to become adults and moved on with our lives. I only saw Dave occasionally, most notably at Mark's 40th birthday party in 1996. I didn't see Dave again until 2011 when Phil and I went to the Northwest Tandem Rally in Spokane. As we were so close to Couer d'Alene, it only made sense to try to see Dave and, luckily, he was available. We met at Moose Lodge for dinner, reminiscing and catching up. We had a great time, of course, laughing the night away. Dave was always Dave and I wouldn't want it any other way. What a guy!

John and Debi Moore’s wedding. Dave was a groomsman. Mike Pool was also a groomsman. Dave worked with Debi at Knollwoods, a burger place in Yorba Linda. After the wedding reception I remember Dave driving circles in my parents huge Ford LTD in the church parking lot. How or why he got the keys to my parents car I don’t remember but the results were predictable.

I will truly will miss seeing David! . He was such a joy, he always had a smile on his face. Well, at least almost always. One time he was 5 minutes late for his hair appointment. He was never late for his appointment but his jeep had quit working in his driveway. He wasn’t happy that day. Even with all that going on he had still had a very positive attitude, of course! I loved all his stories of his girls ( he so loved his girls) and family. I have to say I always check to see what socks he’s had on when he came in. He usually had some story to go along with them. He was a great storyteller. Everyone in the salon will miss him.,but most of all I will miss him. He was truly a special man.!
