Q: How would you describe Donald to someone who had never met them?
A: I had the privilege of being one of his foster daughters. To anyone who didn't know, they would think Don was my biological dad. He loved and cared for all of us in a way only a father could. In his eyes he were his daughters, and he loved us so. With 20 years of memories, it's hard to sum up this remarkable man in words. I will forever cherish all the special memories. Looking back, I am so grateful for the love and guidance he gave me. Don was someone who always knew how to brighten the room with a joke or two. You never had to guess if he would make it to events, he would always be there. Every event I cheered for, he was there. He really was my biggest cheerleader. I love and miss him so much.
With all the honorary mentions above, one trait that he had was his love for Christ. Knowing he is with him and no longer in pain brings comfort during these moments.
