Obituary of Andrew Douglas Gable

Andrew “Ándy” Douglas Gable was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, September 12th , 1974. He is survived by his wife Rebecca Ann (Hunter) Gable, his mother Dianna (Gable) Paschall both living in Spirit Lake, Idaho, his sister Anne Marie (Gable) Finley living in Maui, Hawaii, and his father Melvin Gable lives in Gig Harbor, Washington. His extended family resides in the Ypsilanti, Michigan area. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Stewart Gable, and his maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Joe Paschall. Our family moved to Orange County, California in 1985 when Andy was in the fifth grade. He attended El Modena High School in Orange, Calif., played his father’s coronet in the band and graduated in 1993. Andy and Leonard Morse were in the same graduating class! Andy’s favorite place to be was the great outdoors! He enjoyed working on his Grandpa Paschall’s farm during the summer, as well as doing maintenance work and plowing snow around the apartments during the winter months, while growing up. He also enjoyed several hunting trips with his Uncle Doug and cousin Doug Jr. to Gunnison, Colorado. He completed an Outfitter’s hunting course in Colorado in 1994 loving the mountains and honing his camping skills, which is why he has loved living in Idaho these past 7 years. Firearms have always been a fascination of Andy’s – handguns and rifles of every size and shape. He would spend many hours modifying and/or customizing both the guns and the ammunition with his friend David who lives in Washington. As of late, Andy and Becca have enjoyed many peaceful hours in the camp site he built behind the house; roasting hot dogs and making s’mores over the campfire! So many beautiful memories!!
