I worked with Larry as his Gonzaga liaison through the University Relations Development Office. Larry was always fun and easy to talk with and had great passion for his family. Our last visit was dominated by talk of his youngest son, Danyon, applying to GU and how he could best help him through the admissions process.
Prior to that, Larry shared many wonderful stories about all of his children, their time together as a family during the holidays, his many work projects and his relationship with his employees. It was clear that Larry's children and grandchildren were his number one priority. I am very, very sad to learn this news and wish Larry's family my deepest condolences.
I am proud to say I knew him and called him friend. I promise to faithfully steward the generous scholarship Larry established in his mother's honor, the Gertrude Guthrie Endowed Scholarship for nursing students. Rest in peace, Larry. You will definitely be missed. Judi

I left the picture of you on your boat. It was the last time we saw each other. What an enjoyable afternoon on the water and a great dinner and visit on the lake. Who was that older fat guy with us that day? I will miss you my friend! "Nickelstein"
