Billie Jo Jackson departed this life at Kootenai Medical Center on November 7, 2013. Billie Jo was born on June 9, 1946 in Dickenson County, Virginia to the late Eller and Joseph Newberry. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Charles Newberry, James Mann, Phillip Newberry and sister Henrietta Mann. Billie Jo is preceded in death by her husband of 42-yrs, Brian C. Jackson and her son, Sammy S. Hicks. In 2007 Billie was diagnosed with lung cancer and fought lung disease with great strength. Both Brian and Sammy were faithfully by her side during this time. Billie Jo loved to garden, watch westerns as well as court t.v. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family that visited her often. She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Hook of Post Falls, Patricia Poirier, and Michelle Galbreath of Coeur d' Alene, ID; 8-grand children. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday November 19, 2013 at Bell Tower Funeral Home in Post Falls, with Pastor Troy Carpenter officiating. She will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetary in Coeur d' Alene.
