Summer of 96 my brother and I were busy helping PaPa with a remodel for days we dug a foot deep across a cellar floor, we read very old newspapers used years ago as insullation as we tore down walls and about mid day.. Every day PaPa would say C'mon lets eat lunch and then go have lunch as he'd laugh and shuffle out the door sayin "shooot"!! We would sit down under a big trees cooling shadow happily eating our fried ham sandwiches Grandma made us with her homemade raisin bread.. Our favorite !! Once finished we'd hop in the O'l potato wagon and off we'd go down to the Lil Bear to eat cheese burgers.. Well one day a couple miles from our cheese burgers the potato wagon sputtered then stopped !! Outta gas !! Laughing .. PaPa says "Well you kids get out n push" So we push and pushed the sweat away from our heads as PaPa is laughing so hard the truck is shaking all of the way to the gas station !! We couldnt help but to laugh too !! :) I love you PaPa and miss you dearly .

Dad would pull up at our home, I was always excited to see him, after a few minutes and he still had not come to the door we would look outside and see him driving away. It began to be funny, so when we would see him drive up I would run outside and flag him down as fast as I could so he wouldn't leave.

Dear Dad, I love and miss you so much, I wish you were here with us but know you are watching over us and are healed, happy and on patrol. I miss everything about you. Always chuckled when I saw DeVons truck parked outside a coffee shop in Post Falls. Proud to have known him, he was a big gentle teddy bear.
