Obituary of Jerry Hartley

Jerry Paul Hartley Sr., 79 passed away at home in Post Falls, Idaho on the morning of January 14, 2014. He was born on July 6, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Lacey (Jack) and Charlotte Hartley. He is survived by JoAnn Hartley, his loving wife of 62 years, one daughter, Julie Ann Hartley, and two sons, James Lacey Hartley, and Jerry Paul Hartley Jr. He also leaves behind two sisters, Janet Sneed of Grantsville, Utah, Charlene Causey of Reno, Nevada, and one brother, Jack Hartley of Arizona Jerry also enjoyed and loved many grand, and great grandchildren Jerry was a veteran of the United States Navy serving on board the Destroyer USS Bristol. He served from 1952 to 1956. He shared stories of the many places in the world he visited. He and JoAnn both joined The LDS Church while living in Anaconda, Montana in the early seventies. I think those times were some of the happiest in his life. Jerry loved living in the Northwest enjoying hunting, fishing, camping and just being in the mountains. He is dearly missed by all that knew him.
