Peggy was born February 10, 1921, Margaret Jane Siggins in Mount Vernon, Iowa, and grew up on her family farm. She graduated from Iowa State University in 1943 with a B.S. in Foods & Nutrition and became a registered dietition after further coursework at the University of Minnesota. After Perry's retirement, they served their Lord on the mission field in Nepal, Bangladesh, and Kenya. Following Perry's homegoing in 2004, Peggy moved to Coeur d'Alene, ID. Peggy helped support the family with her cake decorating skills in Denver, and in later years started a calligraphy note card business from which she sent profits year after year to the women of Kibera, a slum outside Nairobi, Kenya. Until her final days, Peggy continued reaching out to help those living near her in whatever way she could. She loved the Lord and she loved the people He brought into her life.
