My name is Kenneth T. SO (known by the Lusk family as Thay). I am very saddened to learn if the passing if Mr. and Mrs. Lusk I have been searching for them for the last 20 years. I lost contact with them few years after they moved to retire in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. I used to live with them during the winter time in Cleveland, Tennessee, in 1976-1978. I know the whole family, Julie, Richatd, Scott, and Linda, as well as grandma, the mother of Mrs. Betty Lusk. I have been searching for Richard, Scott, Julie, and Linda for the last 20-30 years but to no avail. I am so sad and sorry that I did not know about the passing of Mr. and Mrs. Lusk. They are like my parents. I love and miss them very much. They came to my wedding in Clayton in 1980, California when Mr. Lusk was stationed in California.

Dear Bob/Betty:
From 1988 we are neighbors. You told us you snow-shoed in to your property above Lake CDA. A beautiful home you guys did build -The Lusk Compound! Funny, that Bob always said, “We aren’t quite done yet" and would laugh. And I guess, since him and Betty were always working on it, it remained an artwork in the minds of only Bob and Betty. Always retired, yet busy & smiling. AND watch out when the RV rolled out to go to a Cougars game or some other event.. Family was/is their life. Walks in the woods, swims in the lake, and family events were led by this duo of love. Betty and Bob always asked about our kids, Casey and Sam. Married in 1955, our birthday year – the eventual bond was started – and Chris and I danced at their 50th Anniversary party. We continue to dance for them now. We are neighbors in friendship, support, love, and in memory. There is ONE Betty. But Bob AND Betty live on for all of us. God bless her.

I had the honor of meeting Betty and Bob on my recent visit to Idaho. What gracious and kind friends of my Aunt Maryann. Beautiful couple. Betty was so vivacious and always smiling. I was touched by their kindness when they brought my aunt to the airport to pick me up. I am saddened by the news. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
