Obituary of Virginia Kaye Lutz

Virginia Kaye Lutz, 72, of Post Falls, ID, wife of Mike Lutz, died November 21, 2014 at Living Springs Home. Virginia Kaye was born on June 29, 1942 to the late Albert W. and Virginia A. Ghesquiere. She graduated from the University of Detroit with a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1964. On August 20, 1966, she married Michael C. Lutz and he survives. Kaye was a high school science teacher for more than 25 years, most recently at Immaculate Conception Academy in Post Falls, ID. She paused her teaching career to stay home and raise her 5 children. She was an avid gardener and was an Idaho Master Gardener. Kaye was a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church in Post Falls, ID. In addition to her husband Mike, she is survived by 4 children Theresa (Kirk) Vanzant of Versailles, KY; Todd (Kori) Lutz of Hemlock, MI; Mary Kaye (Todd) Johns of Leroy, MI; and James (Liz) Lutz of Broomfield, CO; 13 grandchildren: Eric, Matthew, Nicholas, Elizabeth and Sarah Vanzant; R.J. and Bella Lutz; Mikayela, David, Andrew and Makenzie Johns; Alex and London Lutz; a brother Gary Ghesquiere; sisters-in-law Mary Louise (Tony) Hanley, Maureen Trese and brother-in-law Tom Lutz. She is preceded in death by a son, Michael B. Lutz.
