Jeannette and Family, I am very sorry to hear of Len's passing. He was a wonderful man. He was one of 3 people on my interview panel that hired me on with Avista. He then patiently taught me how to be a gas engineer. He was an intelligent man with a gentle soul. He was a quiet man at work and content to work out of the limelight. He didn't often get the recognition I thought he deserved, but I do remember one time when he got a small bonus for a project. He insisted on sharing it with a couple of us at work. I truly did not want to accept it because I felt that even though he so often did work worthy of extra recognition, he so seldom received it. He wouldn't take no for an answer. I was touched and humbled by this act. I am thankful that he did not let that stroke of 23 years ago take him, and that I was blessed enough to have him as my mentor and friend.
