Obituary of Kenneth John Karl Jr.

Our husband, son, father, and friend, Kenneth John (KJ) Karl Jr., 43, from Post Falls, Idaho, entered Heaven’s Gates on Monday, February 23, 2015 after passing away unexpectedly at home. KJ was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania on September 14, 1971. He and his Dad moved to Missoula, Montana when he was five years old, where he met his amazing bonus Mom, Nina. KJ attended the University of Montana majoring in Journalism and was an amazing writer. KJ met the love of his life, Terra, in 2005 on match.com and they blended their families and married in 2006 and settled in Post Falls. KJ most recently was the general manager at The Master’s Touch in Spokane, Washington. He had also previously worked as a software developer and video game programmer at Microsoft, being on the team that created the first Xbox and meeting Bill Gates. KJ enjoyed gaming, fishing, camping, watching his Chicago Bears through thick and thin (usually thin), NASCAR (an adamant Tony Stewart fan), and yelling at the TV while watching The Walking Dead with Terra. He thoroughly enjoyed children and served as the Treasurer on the Mullan Trail PTO for three years. KJ was a decent, Godly man and he strived to raise Godly boys and was a doting Daddy to his little girl. His God and his family meant absolutely everything to him. KJ is survived by his wife Terra; children Jacob, Trenton, Dillon and MacKenzie; parents Ken and Nina Karl; brother and sister-in-law Jim and Jessalynn Karl; his favorite niece Natalie Karl; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and his beloved dog, Yoshi. Funeral services will be held at Bell Tower Funeral Home on Saturday, February 28 at 10:00 AM at 3398 East Jenalan Avenue, Post Falls, Idaho 83854.
