Please share a memory of Bonita to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bonita Marie Ament- Age 68 died peacefully while surrounded by her loved ones at The Hospice House of North Idaho in Hayden, Idaho on March 13, 2015. She was referred to as “Bonnie” which is the name she preferred. She was born on April 15, 1946 in Forest Grove Oregon.
She was one of seven children to parents, Carl Cropp and Vivian (Ball) Lontz. Bonnie was raised in the Silver Valley and attended school in Kellogg. She went on to marry Charles Smelcer in which she had twin girls; Tina and Terri, a daughter Kathy, and one son Robbie. They later divorced and she married her husband of now, Ronnie V Ament. She went on to having three more children; daughters Rhonda, Kimberly and a son, Ronnie.
Bonnie in her earlier days worked in numerous restaurants and at one time delivered cars for a local dealership. She then decided to settle down as a full time homemaker. She enjoyed taking her children to the beach, gardening, cooking, and crocheting. She enjoyed having family barbeques at the park and holidays with family.
Bonnie enjoyed life and lived it her way! She was so kindhearted and such a social butterfly. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and everyone that knew her. Towards the end of her life, she enjoyed her pets and held close to her catholic faith.
Her parents, Carl Cropp and Vivian Ball, twin daughters Tina and Terri, three sisters, Sally, Maxine, Judy, and one brother, Danny preceded her in death.
Her husband Ron, three daughters, Kathy, Rhonda, Kimberly and two sons, Robbie and Ronnie, two brothers, Raymond and Myron Cropp survived her. She had twelve grandchildren and two great. She also leaves behind cousins, nieces, nephews, and many loved family and friends.
