Obituary of Timothy Shawn Brophy

Please share a memory of Timothy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Timothy Shawn Brophy went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 6, 2015 after a life-long battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He was born to T.J. and Helen Brophy on May 25, 1968 in Libby, Montana. At a young age, Tim and his family moved to Porthill, Idaho where his family farmed. At age 18, Tim moved to Post Falls, Idaho to live with his sister, Mary Helen and her family. Tim never allowed his disease to define who he was. He always enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved to spend time with family and friends, go camping and play games and practical jokes. He especially enjoyed being part of the family race team of MH Motorsports 56. He will forever be remembered for his sweet disposition, gentle nature, caring spirit, and his love for the Lord. He will be deeply missed by many. Tim is survived by his sisters, Colleen Brophy Eyrich of Spokane, WA and Mary Helen Brophy Peters of Post Falls, ID; brother, Thomas Brophy of Bremerton, WA; nephews Michael and Mathew Harper, Andrew Eyrich and Jordan Brophy-Palsson; nieces Lorrinda Litton, Samantha Brophy, Amanda, Lisa and Nicole Eyrich, Saana and Emily Brophy-Palsson; and numerous great nieces and nephews. A Memorial service for Tim will be held on Saturday, May 16 at 11:00 am at the home of Mary Helen and Dave Peters, 4294 W Pleasant Lane, Post Falls, Idaho. A potluck luncheon will follow the service. Side dishes would be appreciated.
