Obituary of Bruce Frank Belt
Please share a memory of Bruce to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Its hard to say the words when you loose a parent. Especially when it's your last. It feels as if the glue is gone. But so not true. That is when you step up to the plate and be the people our parents raised us to be. My mother being gone about three years now whom we missed more than words., my dad missed her more than he could stand sometimes. Married for 67 years, he was ready to be with her. Dad and I had a very special relationship. The most fun person you could ever meet. He loved people, the mountains and the trees . The desert had his heart and he was an artist like no other. Truly I will miss our talks. Our morning hello's, our hikes and our meals out. But, he lived well for 92 years. Never knew a stranger in his entire life. Amazing. Still drove, hiked and just about a daily visit to the library in Coeur d' Alene and Costco. Dad was born in Pasadena, California in 1923. Moved at an early age to Colombia, California. Became a forest ranger and his main job was fire lookout. Sketched every tree in the forest I think. Drafted into the Navy , Word War 2 and became a signal operator. Met our mom Dolores Belt and they were married in Ajo , Arizona. Eventually moved back and had 3 of us kids. Singing little diddys all along the way. The oldest being Harold Belt living in Idaho, which has a daughter Hannah Belt, brother Don Belt living with his wife Cynthia Goodman Broadbelt in Colorado and has a son Justin Belt. And then daughter Renee Lovell living in Idaho with her husband Clint Lovell, and has 3 children Nick Ocean, Josh who he shared many camping trips with and Faith Cheyenne Owrey. Bruce passed June 18th , 2015 from natural causes in Coeur d' Alene with his daughter and husband by his side. What a gift that was to us. Dad, you and Mom are loved, missed and now blessed. We love you Dad. God Bless You.
