This is a Brief Account of Micky Bells Life
Micky was an entrepreneur of sorts as many of us know. He absorbed that trait watching and helping his father as he grew up in the foothills of southern California. His father was the same type of man. (Never afraid to put it all on the line if it meant prosperity for his family and anyone else involved.) And believe me when I say there were a lot of people and families that benefited from Mickys doings!
Although blunt and even crude at times, if he thought he had a suggestion or could offer you some help that would benefit you in the long run or big picture, you got it whether you wanted it or not, and 9 out of 10 times it worked out for you. There weren't many failures in his attempts. He had a real knack for designing or improving something right out of his head in an instant. Sometimes I would see this happen and just be dumbfounded, thinking to myself, how the hell did he figure that out so quick? (and its gonna work too!)
Some of Mickys accomplishments include the successful owning and operating of an electrical contracting business. Retiring at the age of 42, owning and operating a championship race team 2 years in a row, (the only 2 years he owned a race team). Buying and fully developing a 10 acre parcel of raw hillside just outside of Post Falls. This meant lots of blisters, back aches, fatigue, sumburn, frostbite, and whatever else he could think of to prove to his kids (this is how we built Spankyland!). Helping with the operations and improvements of Stateline Speedway for its 4 previous owners including the landscaping. The design and construction of the Coeur d'Alene RV Park in Post Falls, the building of a railroad siding on the northeast corner of Freya and Sprague in Spokane, Washington. I think he did that out of boredom because he had already done everything else. He also assisted countless home, property, and business owners with the building or improvement of their homes, properties or businesses. He had a passion for landscape designing.
However, Mickys greatest accomplishment of all was marrying our mother in 1960, raising 4 self motivated sons, enjoying 4 daughter-in-laws, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. It comes with an enormous amount of gratitude and pride that you are moms husband , our father, father-in-law, grandpa and great grandpa.
Thanks Dad!
It was the greatest ride ever, you'll live in our hearts for eternity.

My heart goes out to you and your family, Coleen, I enjoyed the wonderful time I got to spend with you and Mike. He was a lot of fun. I wish I could have had more time with you both. I loved the way he teased me and brought back my times with my husband.
May God let them "talk" about us ,when they meet in Gods country.
We will see them again. Remember I am here for you.
Your Loving Friend always, Fay
