My deepest condolences to the family, may you find comfort in prayer and the beautiful words of Isaiah 25:8 where God promises us that He will soon eliminate all death and suffering. Acts 24:15 speaks of a resurrection, a time when God will reunite us with our loved ones again! I hope this helps bring some comfort in this time of sorrow. https://tv.jw.org/#en/video/VODBible/pub-jwbcov_201405_5_VIDEO

Like many of the others here, I knew Larry as Cardinal Flyer in the geocaching community. He was one of the first cachers I remember meeting when I attended my first geocache flash mob in 2011. I have enjoyed finding dozens and dozens of his Caitlyn caches and would email him occasionally when I would be stumped on one of his hides. He was always very helpful in his responses. I offer my condolences to his family and my gratitude to Cardinal Flyer for the years of outdoor fun he provided.

Larry was one of my geocaching mentors. He was always very helpful when I was starting to geocache. Later, we sometimes competed for those coveted First to Finds. He was not shy about calling for help. Some calls were funny, and I remember those fondly. One call in particular stands out. L: "Is it in a tree?" J. "Yes." L: "Which tree?" J: "Well, it's hard to describe. There are several trees close together. Which tree are you in front of now?" L: "Oh, I am still in the car in the parking area." He DID find it! Lots of happy memories. R. I. P. my friend. Condolences to Sue and the family. The Coeur d'Alene/Spokane caching world will not be the same without Larry.

Although I did not know Larry, I offer my condolences. I know this time is difficult. I lost my wife just over 19 months ago. But things will get better. I will pray for peace to find each of you mourning his passing.

I only knew Larry from his caches; however, because of that, I felt like I did know him. I sure got a glimpse of his personality! I am so very sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Larry will be greatly missed in the geo-caching community. While I can only think of one occasion that we went on a planned outing together, we often would cross paths trying to be the FTF (first to find) of a newly published geo-cache. We would also occasionally consult each other when it came to needing a hint on a cache the other had previous found or to share the frustrations one of us had with another player and/or the reviewers. For those who had the honor of knowing him, Larry was always willing to help out when asked. While I was deployed to Iraq in 2009/2010 I had about a half dozen or more geo-caches that needed attention to prevent them from being archived by a reviewer. I sent an email to Larry asking him, when he had time, would he please check on them for me and fix them as needed. He of course went out and checked them all that same day, and fixed what ever issue they may have had! If you didn't know it, that is how he ended up owning a "Caitlyn Cache" in Iraq, my thank you to him. If there is anything my family can do to help out Larry's family, all you have to do is ask and you know where to find me.

While living in Spokane, we got to know Larry as Cardinal Flyer. Always the helpful person on the trail, and with him finding many caches in the area, we could easially call or message him for the assistance on those more challenging caches. Though it is a loss for the community that knew him, I am reminded that now he can grab all the geocaches he wants in heaven. Also, he can still watch over those in which were his favorites to allow everyone else to enjoy in the beauty of nature!
