I was really saddened to hear of Ed's passing. I knew Ed when he worked with my family doing the solar heating. Being a 16 year old at the time, Ed and I talked a lot about his time in the service. One time I asked him, how deep can a submarine go? He replied, I'm sorry, that's classified and I cant tell you. That showed me what kind of man he was. He honored his word. I went to take my drivers license test and when I got there, the brake light was out so they wouldn't let me take it. We get home and Ed said take my truck. I said I've never driven it. He said oh you'll do fine. So here I am driving this huge Dodge super cab truck with a canopy to my drivers test. Parallel parking wasn't easy in that thing but I passed with flying colors thanks to Ed. He said see! I told you it would work! I see the picture of him and that's how I always saw him, smiling. That's how I will always remember him.
My deepest condolences to Ed and family.

Ed was a wonderful man with a huge heart. He was always willing to help anyone that needed a hand, and he was a great neighbor, always just a phone call away. He was always ready to give a hug and our hearts ache that he was taken to soon. Our thoughts go out to all the ladies he loved, who will feel his loss. We will always cherish our memories of Ed that span 28 years, the holidays that we have spent together, the camping trips, meals together, godfather to our son. All the laughter and all the years with our kids being little, just spending time together. He had a wild sense of humor and made a great addition to our bachelorette party. Our tears join with those who are so saddened by his loss. He will live on in our hearts....

To my dearest Uncle Ed,
Heaven has gained a great man this week. It hard for me to believe that you are really gone but I have to get it through my head. I'd like to think that I was dreaming but in all reality, it's real...Why?...Why did you have to leave? You were such an amazing uncle to me along with a great friend to my family. I will always love you and cherish our long lasting memories. If only I could of said goodbye or at least seen you one more time before you left. I would want to say that I will always miss you, love you, and remember you always greeting me with your kindness, I would hug you one last time and give you a big kiss goodbye. Rest in peace Uncle Ed I will forever miss you, but I know that you are in a better place now and you are always looking over me. I will see you in the future.

Dearest Ed, the angels took you away from Priya, Abby and I way too soon. We were not ready to let you go. I am so thankful that we were able to raise such beautiful, smart, wonderful, caring and loving girls together. We may not have done us quite right, but we always said we did right by our girls. You were always such a great dad and a wonderful son-in-law. There is nothing you wouldn't do for your girls or my folks and I will always love you for that! It's impossible to capture 30 years of joy, laughter, tears, happiness in just a few words. I will miss our talks about our girls. We sure had some good ones. As our girls move forward in life marrying, having their children, and dealing with all life has to offer I will do my best to remind them you are there watching over them. I will always pass on the legacy of our life we had together. Until we meet again, so long for now.

Heaven gained a wonderful man and angel who will watch over us. Edo we will miss your laughs, hugs, smiles and all the good times we have had together.
You loved to go camping and bringing that darn rocon bike that broke down all of the time. I think that was your way of getting to ride with Jenny or I which you never seemed to mind ..wink ..wink..
Your were the greatest Uncle to Madison she loved calling you her Uncle Ed. We will cherish all the memories we had with you and keep them close to our hearts and how you finally found happiness with your loving and caring lady Laura.
Our deepest sympathies to your daughters Priya and Abby.
Ed we loved you so much rest in peace our loving friend and until we met again. I will look forward to hearing you say "Well hello there you sweet young thing".
