Obituary of Shelley Gay Walters

Shelley Gay Walters was born on September 5, 1963 in Las Vegas, NV to Ivan Nicks of Winsboro, TX and Barbara Thompson of Medford, OR. She died suddenly on October 9, 2016 of complications from an accidental fall on Sept 25, 2016.
She is survived by her fiancé Bob Storm, AKA “Buck” Culpepper in the family home in Rathdrum, ID. Her daughters; Shana Nicks of Rathdrum and Jackie Walters of Rathdrum. A sister Ginger Bateman of Spirit Lake, her niece Angie Workman of Spirit Lake, her nephews, Cameron Myers of Rathdrum, and Josh Myers of Post Falls. Shelley also leaves behind 3 grandchildren who were the light of her life, Christopher Benboe, Sadie Marie Grace and River Rose Gerred all of Rathdrum, ID.
Shelley graduated from Meridian, ID High School and went on to obtain several college credits and courses. She worked for Lakeland School District as a school bus driver for many years as well as being an avid sportswoman with hunting, fishing and outdoor activities. She was a very well-known horse trainer and took great satisfaction bringing a rescue horse back to a healthy condition.
Shelley had a relationship with her daughters and grandchildren second to none. She is clearly missed, but she will never-ever be forgotten.
Services are Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Bell Tower Funeral Home 3398 E. Jenalan Ave. Post Falls, ID. Friends are welcome to join us to say goodbye. Pastor Mike Slothower will officiate the service for Shelley. A reception will follow the service.
