To all the family, our condolences. Uncle Robert was a very warm and loving man who made a great impression on my life. He was kind, gentle, and very dedicated to his family. I have so many fond memories of our trips to Deer Lake, the gatherings at Grandma Tupper's house, and bobsledding in the winter. No matter where or when the Tupper clan met, Robert and his wonderful family would be there. I fondly remember a special trip to tour the diesel locomotives in the yard - it was something my father talked about of for years and I tell people about to this day. Robert gifted my father a company lantern that he prized for many years and that now resides with me as a reminder of them both. My mother and father spoke for many years of the enjoyable trips they took with Robert and Margie. They were well-documented as I have many videos to prove it! What a tremendous loss for us all.

We were so sorry to hear of Bob's passing, he was such a nice man. When Patty and Dan lived in Everett, my husband, Leon and I, always enjoyed visiting when Bob and Marge came to town, hearing of their latest traveling adventures. One such visit was on a New Year’s Eve, and we were invited to Patty and Dan’s. As a joke I put two Styrofoam outdoor faucet insulators in my shirt to augment my chest. When Patty opened the door I declared “Look what Leon got me for Christmas! Well, Patty had her dad come see, and he got such a big laugh that he took pictures, and I was told those pictures were shared with people all the way to Texas! We will remember him as a person who adored his family, had a great sense of humor, loved a good joke, and most of all, his friendly smile.

Debbie and I enjoyed many great times with Uncle Bob - whether it was going out to dinner, playing cards or dominoes, or watching football – because he always made us feel like we were genuinely part of their family, and for that we are truly grateful. In recent years Uncle Bob and Aunt Marge have spent some great quality time together with us, and we have grown much closer with them and with our cousins which I know leaves Bob smiling knowing he has brought the family closer together. Bob had a unique sense of humor that always kept everyone around him smiling. Uncle Bob, you will be missed.

I can't say I know many people my age that played video games with their grandpa? Always ahead of his time, grandpa Bob was always finding ways to entertain the army of grandchildren he had. Whether it was Nintendo games or a good old fashion camp trip. Hanging out with grandpa Bob meant we were gonna be having fun! On a lucky day he just might let you steer the boat across lake Coeur D'alene. Fishing, floating, camping, biking, long road trips to Nebraska listening to Neil Diamond. Grandpa was always there for us showing us the good things in life. We will miss you so much grandpa! Thanks for all the wonderful memories!

Uncle Bob was always so special to me. He had a great sense of humor and when we were kids our families had wonderful camping trips together. Getting to the destination was half the fun because we were all "stuffed" into a station wagon having the time of our lives. Uncle Bob lived life to the fullest and each day seemed to be so precious to him. His last few years were difficult but he handled it was dignity and integrity. He loved his family and friends and we in turn loved him for just being who he was.....a caring and giving person who made everyone feel welcome. Although we all miss and love him - 'His life will never go unnoticed because we noticed it and all of us have been the witness to the the good he accomplished in his life." He is now in God's hands but he is still with us forever in our hearts.

There is so much to say about grandpa, I don't know where to start. I will always have so much wonderful memories from my whole life. I remember going on bike rides, camping trips and grandpa teaching me how to fish. I remember going to Costco's with grandma and grandpa and going with grandpa trying the different samples. One of the best memories of grandpa is at my wedding. I will never forget that. He has always been my father figure and I couldn't have been luckier to have such a great guy is my life. He had always put everyone else first. I will always love you and never forget you. R.I.P

Grandpa I don't think I ever told you how much you mean to me. You are truly the greatest guy I have ever known. You were my grandpa but so much more. I looked up to you as a father figure in my life as Joey, Jessie, and me grew up with out that father figure. You never hesitated to step up and fill that role. I will forever charish the memories I have of you; all the camping trips, boat rides, and the walks we would take down to the river. Some of my most fondest memories were of the summers I spent with you and grandma. When I learned of your illness I tried to prepare myself for what was going to happen. That day has finally come and I'm still not ready to say goodbye. I am truly very lucky to have had such amazing grandpa. Rest in peace, love your granddaughter Jackie

to family of Robert Tupper, Our sympathies to you. We met your husband & father in Puerto Vallarta in 2004. We talked about our children living in Post Falls where they lived. We have since moved here. We just found the address card they gave us at that time. We found that they live only a few blocks from us off of Ponderosa. We were planning to give them a call and reconnect. We are so sorry for your loss. Maybe we will give Margaret a call. Blessings to you & comfort in your loss. Cor & Betty Smidt

Thoughts from Beate about uncle Bob who she had never met: I am thinking about uncle Bob. He made such a huge impression on me! I am very grateful you took us there. His warm eyes and sweet smile, thumbs up, love, springing out from his very essence. His eyes were like looking into his wonderful heart and soul.

Whenever I came out to Washington to visit my brothers & their families, I'd also get the chance to see & visit with Bob & Marge, too. He always looked forward to playing some cards or a game or two of Farkle with you.... You would always see a smile on his face and feel the warmth of his kindness. He always seemed to enjoy life and shared that with Marge and those around him. Bob was also a man of many talents. He was a very talented craftsman with his hands and made many, unique items. He enjoyed creating and making things, and then sharing them with those he loved. I know he knew he was a lucky man, because he had such a wonderful family. You could tell he loved his wife, kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. He couldn't wait to tell me a story about any of them whenever I was there visiting. He was very proud of his family, and I know his family was very proud of him. He was a good guy with a big heart, and will truly be missed. Jeanne Unruh

Bob and Marge were like a second set of parents to me as I was growing up. I have always felt I was so fortunate to have such a wonderful childhood with so many fond memories, and this is partially due to having such a great set of neighbors, who always made me feel like part of their family. Bob and Marge have also been very dear friends to my parents too. I will always remember Bob's chuckle and fun spirit. He was very talented and crafty too. I admire so much about him, right up to how he handled his illness with courage and determination. I know how dear he was to his daughter and my best friend Patty and know they had some very special times during these past few years that only a father and daughter could share. Base line he was just an all around great guy and will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Love to him and the family, Helen

Grandpa Bob was an amazing man. My whole life is full of fun and wonderful memories with him and Grandma. He was never too busy to teach me something new or too serious to laugh and sing with me. I don't think I could add up all the miles we rode together on bikes or Dilly Bars we ate those summers I spent with them. Grandpa was always there if I needed help. He was a wonderful great-grandpa to my girls. Grandpa always made me feel loved and special. I will always miss him and feel blessed that I got to spend so much time with him.

What can I say about Bob that everyone doesn't already know? He was the best Father in Law you could ask for. He was always the first person to give you a helping hand, whether it was digging a ditch or painting a fence. You could always count on Bob. He was the best Grandpa and Great Grandpa to my children and grand children. I miss my digging Buddy already.

I have so many fond memories of my grandpa, I wouldn't even know where to begin. He was always the most easy going, happy man. He cast a big shadow, but never over shadowed anyone. Every time I was around him he made me feel important, like I was one of his favorites, like I brightened his day. But I know that he spread his love equally among his family and it was his nature to make everyone feel loved. Thank you so much Grandpa for being there for all of us.

Dad is my hero, he never complained about his illness or asked "why me" . He was a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather. If you needed a helping hand or just a big hug, dad was always there for me. As a little girl growing up , I believed my dad could do anything. He did so much for all of us, took such good care of us! I am very proud to be his daughter , thank you for all the lesson in life you taught me. I smile every time I think of you . Love you and miss you lots!
