Obituary of Kay Evelyn Hansen

Kay E. Hansen, 84 passed away at 12:30 pm, Wednesday January 25, 2017 at the home
of her daughter Colleen Dehler in Spokane, Washington. She was born July 12, 1932 in
Gem, Kansas to Walter and Nerna Reeder. She married Aubrey R. McSpadden
She is survived by her three sons Donald R. McSpadden, Douglas McSpadden and Kevin
McSpadden and her five daughters Nancy Campbell, Kathleen Bordwell, Kelly Knight,
Erina Bowie and Colleen Dehler, 23 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Kay's father, mother, husband and two sons Ralph McSpadden and Stephen
McSpadden preceded her in death.
She was a longtime resident of Spokane where she lived in her childhood home since
the age of eight years old. She graduated from North Central High School and retired
from a career as a caregiver at St. Brendan's nursing home. She loved to cook and
enjoyed family get-togethers and playing Yahtzee. Kay was called the “Yahtzee Queen".
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Bell Tower
Funeral Home 3398 E. Jenalan Ave. Post Falls, ID. A reception will follow. A private
burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery.
